Good days and quality salmon on the second salmon opener, October 2025

In mid-October 2025, a post on the Fish Reapers Sportfishing Instagram reported on the second salmon opener. Its words: the guys had some good days with the second salmon opener on Fish Reapers, with some quality fish.

The photo that goes with it shows two men standing on the deck of the boat. At their feet on the deck is a pile of salmon laid out in a row. Behind them are the masts and boats of the harbor.

Salmon is one of the main trips at Fish Reapers. Capt. Scott Dipman runs the salmon trip out of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay as an 8-hour day on his 31-foot North River, and the 2025 season had more than one opener, which is why this post says second.

The post does not give a catch count or a fish weight, and neither will we. What it does say is that there were good days and quality fish, and the photo of the deck backs that up.
